First steps in a project to document the beauty of handmade watches in the region of Glasshütte. Amazing the skill level that is needed to design, manufacture and build the over 480 pieces in a complicated watch. Even more amazing when considering that the foundation was laid over 100 years ago at a time when CNC, CAD or any other numerically controlled manufacturing device were unavailable. And some items, like the complicated handles showing hour and minutes can no longer be replicated. The forms needed and the skill associated is missing. This will be a fun project.
