Beachvolleyball in Bonn

A perfect day in Bonn. The last of summer was the best of summer. 30C, sunshine and time to feel the spirit of vacation right in the city. The beachvolleyball tour showed its glamor for two days. Fierce competition had everyone who watched on their feet. Not everything went perfect. but it was fun for everone who watched.

The Spoilt in Mainz

The Spoilt are a wonderful, young band from Bonn. They have made their musical way through various band competitions and earned the right to play on the RPR 1 summer special this Saturday. It was my pleasure having had the opportunity to cover them throughout the event. Great musicians and wonderful people.

Glasshütte - Where masters are at work.

First steps in a project to document the beauty of handmade watches in the region of Glasshütte. Amazing the skill level that is needed to design, manufacture and build the over 480 pieces in a complicated watch. Even more amazing when considering that the foundation was laid over 100 years ago at a time when CNC, CAD or any other numerically controlled manufacturing device were unavailable. And some items, like the complicated handles showing hour and minutes can no longer be replicated. The forms needed and the skill associated is missing. This will be a fun project.
